Mother's Day Knitting

IMG_7833
This year for Mother's Day, I knit for my mom.  It's the second time I've knit this scarf, Alby, by Bonne Marie Burns, and the second time I've used this exact same yarn.  This time I reversed the colors and I'm surprised to say, I like it even more.  I love blue, but the green lace looks so pretty against my mom's blue jacket.  Isn't it great that she just happened to wear something that looks so good with this scarf/shawl?

This scarf is a pleasure to knit and turns out well.  It's a good gift knit -- it doesn't take too long to finish, but it isn't a toss-off either.  Once again, I wish I had one of these myself.
