Three Cozy Squozy Cats

They are very tiny, and very cute.

They are the Cozy Squozy Cats of Mochimochi Land

Because I love knitting and she loves cats, I asked my daughter-in-law (and new knitter) Carley to take the Tiny Cats! Virtual Workshop from Modern Daily Knitting with me.  The workshop came with a very complete little kit that even included the needles and the stuffing.

It was fun to take the workshop with Carley. It was fun to make the little cats. And it was fun to share them with other cat lovers. (I like cats a lot. But they also make me sneeze, a lot. These did not make me sneeze.)

First, I knit the Box Cat.Untitled

This little cat went to my friend Debbie, because he reminded her of her cat, Miles Davis.

This is the Life Preserver Cat.

He was named Louie by my friend Diana.

And this is the Bag Cat.Untitled

This little blue cat got the special treat of going to live with my sweet Aunt Lydia.

He might be the luckiest of them all.

The pattern includes one more cat, a Corset Cat, but not the materials for them. I haven't made that one, yet.

These cats are too tiny to be suitable for small children. But big people and kids old enough to play with tiny toys would be good owners for these little cats.

Anna Hrachovec, who designed these, used them to illustrate her book, Catside Up, Catside Down. And she makes adorable animations with them.

  2. Oh, my goodness! These are just the best! I wonder if they'll offer the workshop again? I have a couple of adult children who would love some squozy cats . . .

  4. These are wonderful! I don't knit fiddly little things very well, but you've done a fine job. Who knew tiny cats could spread so much joy?!
