What I'm doing now
I'm weaving in the ends on the Flower Power Throw.
Some progress made, but . . .
. . . lots left to do.
At the same time,
I'm swatching the yarn I bought for a Whispy Cardigan. It's lace-weight Louet variegated linen. It used to be called Milan. It's now sold as a weaving yarn. The color I'm using is called granite. The pattern calls for Malabrigo Lace, a nice soft wool. Instead I'm using wiry linen. Even though it's quite fine, it's hard to get this stiff yarn to knit down to the right gauge. But, what I want is a neutral colored linen summer sweater. I think, if I persist, this might be the one I want.
Well, that's a whole lotta ends. . . :-) I love linen -- and think you've made a great choice for your summer cardigan. In my (somewhat limited) experience in knitting with linen -- you won't really be able to tell about the gauge until you wash the swatch a couple of times. Can't wait to see both projects finished!
