As always, something new
Some really yummy (I mean REALLY yummy) Cascade Eco Cloud yarn - on the way to becoming an Urban Aran cardigan for my son. The cardigan is an adaptation (first done by Jared Flood) of the Urban Aran pullover from the Patons book Street Smarts. The book is out of print, but copies are out there - try Ebay, etsy, or Amazon.
This yarn is a merino/alpaca blend - natural colors (no dyes). It smells of lanolin (which I like) and is so soft. It's like a crocheted chain or a braid -- not plied, which seems give the yarn more body without being too heavy.
Off to crunch the numbers and cast on.
Looking forward to seeing the finished project!
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be just divine! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it's going to be a fun project! You're so lucky that your son will wear things you knit for him. My husband rarely wears knits because he's always too warm.
