Isn't that better?

I decided I needed to try something different with my Clapotis. Here it is, (on the left) alternating two rows with each skein. Doesn't this look better? I was worried about the yarn carried up on side, but this yarn is so soft and drapey, it blends right in. I also took the opportunity to shore up my gauge a little, and dropped a needle size (now using US 6). I also dropped stitch markers in favor of purling the stitches that will later be dropped.

Random blogger popping in! I really love the alternating rows with each skein, and I think that the beads will look lovely scattered throughout the shawl.

  4. I think you've found the right solution. Just in case, here is a site with a lot of helpful tips about Clapotis, how to figure out when to start decreasing and the like: http://www.almostrandom.com/needlesnhooks/projects/project-notes-clapotis/
