Here we are at 50

My birthday was a week and a half ago, but last night, my husband and children surprised me with a fantastic party.

Nothing like a wonderful group of friends from far and near, new friends and friends from childhood, to take the edge off turning 50. I'm glad to be here at 50 -- blessed to have so many great people in my life -- not just the ones who were at the party (special though they are).

Oh yes, and the cake was an Atomic Bombe. Wow!
