A few years ago, when my son graduated from high school, I made him an afghan as a graduation gift. We've got another senior this year. This time, the afghan is Spud & Chloe's Flower Power Throw. It's been years since I've done any intarsia knitting. I'm telling myself it'll be fun. The colors (the same ones used in the pattern) certainly ARE fun. I'm contemplating a border of zig zag lace in the magenta color to make it an original. Maybe like the edging on this baby cardigan?
think of what an amazing heirloom it'll be once it's done!! knitted blankets always look so utterly amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe colors look so happy! Bet you'll have a grand time knitting this afghan -- and bet your daughter will love it forever!
